If some of you are thinking 'I know his name', but can't remember why, then think back to 'Truly, Madly, Deeply' and the 'English Patient' as not only did Antony Minghella write the screen plays, but he also directed and produced both films!
'Cigarettes and Chocolate' and 'Hang Up' are both lovely one act plays. Minghella writes with such an intensity and eloquence that you can not help but be drawn into the charters.
If you do anything for charity this year, then let it be this...
Cigarettes and Chocolate was also seen as our entry for the Maidenhead Drama Festival 2001 and received praise from the adjudicator.
