Come and laugh along with Jack as he goes on a great adventure despite his
money troubles.
The village of Trottshaven is being terrorised by the Giant Blunderbore and his evil henchman Fleshcreep. The situation becomes so unbearable that Jack Trott is appointed by the King to slay the giant and save the village. His reward? To marry the King's beautiful daughter!! Because Jack's mother - Dame Trott - cannot pay her rent she reluctantly instructs her son to sell their most treasured possession - Daisy the Cow.
Market day proves to be a disappointment as non of the villagers are interested in buying and just as Jack is about to return home and break the news, an "old lady" offers him a bag of gold for the cow. Jack thinks his luck has changed but he and his mother discover they have been cheated; instead of a bag of gold, they have a bag of beans.
The beans are thrown into the village well and while the village sleeps, a fairy casts a spell that makes a magic plant grow and rise high into the sky. Jack climbs the beanstalk armed with a magic sword provided by the fairy. He not only discovers the sleeping giant but also the ogre's prized possession - the hen that lays the golden eggs!! The giant awakes! A fight ensues and Jack saves the day!!
As promised our hero marries the girl of his dreams and.....
THEY ALL LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER!!
Jack and the Beanstalk is a traditional, fast-paced pantomime.
